LODWAR – The Speaker of the County Assembly of Turkana, Christopher Nakuleu, has issued a stern warning to Members of the County Assembly (MCAs), accusing some of neglecting their duties to the people and instead engaging in profiteering as “Tender-preneurs.”
Speaking on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Methewan Nakamkemer Ward, Turkana Central, during the burial of Mama Mary, the mother of Hon. Esther Mana (Special Elect), Nakuleu urged MCAs to remain accountable to their constituents.
He lamented that certain members are being manipulated by the Executive and failing to uphold their responsibilities by prioritizing personal financial interests over their legislative responsibilities.
Nakuleu pledged to release a performance scorecard and publicly name those who have neglected their duties and instead prioritized their financial interests, urging accountability and commitment to the people of Turkana.
