Pritty Vishy, the ex-girlfriend of renowned musician Stevo Simple Boy, has sparked widespread attention online after unveiling a dramatic body transformation — a journey that has captured the interest of many Kenyans on social media.
Vishy, who once weighed 112 kilograms, revealed she has shed an impressive 30 kilograms after beginning a weight loss regimen aided by Ozempic, a diabetes medication increasingly popular among celebrities for off-label use in weight management. The drug, though effective, comes at a steep price — with each dose reportedly costing between KSh 75,000 and KSh 120,000, according to online sources.
During a Q&A segment with Mpasho’s Kalondu Musyimi two months ago, Vishy candidly shared her progress.
“I have lost 30kgs. I was 112. My target is 70kgs,” she stated.
Her weight loss journey began publicly, as she took to her social media platforms to announce her decision to take control of her health — a move that came after enduring years of body-shaming, including from religious leaders.
In 2024, a comment made by a prominent church leader about her appearance sparked public outrage. Kenyans criticized the pastor for his harsh words, prompting him to issue a public apology.
Vishy’s response was both emotional and defiant. She called out what she described as the hypocrisy within religious spaces, saying such judgment is one of the reasons she and others no longer attend church.
“You and other hypocrites who hide in churches are the reason we stopped stepping into ‘the house of the Lord.’ You reminded me I am ugly, unattractive, and fat — all of which may be true, but let’s meet in your church, stand on that altar, and you repeat those words in front of your congregation,” she wrote in a powerful social media post.
As her transformation continues to unfold, Pritty Vishy’s journey is not just about weight loss — it is a bold statement of self-empowerment in the face of public scrutiny and societal expectations.
