Turkana Woman Representative Cecilia Asinyen Ngitit has been ranked 6th nationally and 3rd in the Rift Valley region among Kenya’s best-performing Woman Representatives in the latest Infotrak leadership survey released on Wednesday, July 1, 2026.

Ngitit earned a 56% approval rating in the nationwide survey, which gathered views from 87,286 respondents across all 47 counties.

She trails only Rael Kasiwai of West Pokot in the Rift Valley rankings, who placed 2nd nationally with 61%. The national rankings were topped by Kirinyaga Woman Representative Jane Njeri Maina, who scored 67%.
Rose Mumo of Makueni scored 58 per cent, followed by Cecilia Ngitit of Turkana at 56 per cent, Cynthia Muge of Nandi at 55 per cent, Bensuda Osogo of Homa Bay at 54 per cent, and Irene Kasalu of Kitui together with Susan Nduyo of Tharaka Nithi, who each recorded 53 per cent
Infotrak said the survey assessed leaders based on public perception, including their visibility, accessibility, responsiveness, communication, and stewardship of public resources, rather than legislative performance or public expenditure.
The recognition places Cecilia Asinyen Ngitit among the country’s top-performing Woman Representatives, highlighting her growing approval among constituents and her strong standing within the Rift Valley region.
