Turkana County Chief of Staff, Loyapan, has responded to growing concerns about the construction of ECDE classrooms, explaining that building schools at every corner of the county is not feasible due to required procedures.

His comments follow the viral spread of photos showing ECDE students studying under thatched roofs and trees, which sparked public outcry.

The photos revealed that the pupils lacked basic necessities such as books, pens, uniforms, and shoes, further intensifying the concerns.

Loyapan reassured the public that while the county is committed to improving educational facilities, proper procedures must be followed to ensure the development of quality and sustainable infrastructure. He urged for patience as the county works on a long-term strategy to address these challenges.
