ISVD Announces Vacancy for Unit Coordinator Position in Elelea/Lotubae Unit, Turkana East | How Apply | Requirements | Deadline

The Initiative for Suguta Valley Development (ISVD) has advertised a vacancy for the position of Unit Coordinator for the Elelea/Lotubae Unit, seeking qualified residents to support conservation and community development activities in the area.
The full-time position, which requires five and a half working days per week, will be supervised by the Director and Unit Team Leader.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to:
1. Coordinate ISVD project activities at the unit level.
2. Represent the Director at the unit level.
3. Supervise and coordinate the activities of ISVD Field Monitors.
4. Serve as Secretary to the Unit Committee, including compiling meeting minutes and attendance records.
5. Support ISVD’s liaison efforts with government agencies at the local level.
6. Prepare and submit monthly reports on project activities, meetings, and updates to the Director and Unit Team Leader.
7. Maintain records of visitors and tourists visiting the unit.
8. Compile and maintain Unit Committee accounts, including records of funds received and expenditures.
9. Keep records of ISVD projects and beneficiaries within the unit.
10. Liaise with organizations involved in conservation and community development to strengthen collaboration and partnerships.
11. Undertake any other duties assigned by the Director or Unit Team Leader.
Requirements and Qualifications
Interested applicants must meet the following requirements:
1. Be at least 18 years old.
2. Be a resident of the Elelea/Lotubae Unit.
3. Have completed secondary school education (Form Four).
4. Possession of a diploma or university degree will be an added advantage.
5. Computer literacy skills will be an added advantage.
6. Demonstrate a strong interest in environmental and wildlife conservation as well as community development.
7. Be a committed and disciplined individual.
8. Have experience volunteering in community service or development projects.
Application Process
Interested candidates are required to submit their applications together with all supporting documents by July 10, 2026.
Applications should be delivered to the Village Administrator’s Office in Elelea Village, which will serve as the collection point for applicants from both Elelea and Lotubae.
All applications must be submitted in a sealed envelope addressed to the ISVD Director and clearly indicate the applicant’s name and the position being applied for.
