Turkana, Samburu to Experience Strong Winds, Hot and Partly Cloudy Conditions — Kenya Met Department
The Kenya Meteorological Department has issued a fresh weather alert indicating that the North Western region, covering Turkana and Samburu counties, will experience partly cloudy nights and sunny, hot conditions throughout Tuesday.
According to the 1st December 2025 daily weather forecast, the region will also face intense south-easterly winds expected to exceed 25 knots (12.5 m/s), particularly over Turkana County, raising concerns for residents, motorists, and small aircraft operators.
The advisory highlights that while no rainfall is expected, high daytime temperatures and strong winds may increase cases of dust storms and reduced visibility on major roads, especially in open and arid sections of Turkana.
The weatherman urged locals to stay hydrated, shield themselves from the high UV exposure, and remain alert to any wind-related hazards.
