Renowned comedian turned activist, Eric Omondi has been left heartbroken after learning that the classroom he built for needy students in Kapoo Village Turkana County was demolished by county officials.
In a statement shared on his social media accounts on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, Eric said that it was inhuman to demolish the classroom he built for the kids using the funds channelled through the Sisi Kwa Sisi initiative.
The philanthropist, in addition, stated that apart from tearing down the classroom, they also took the uniforms and shoes donated to the kids.
“It is very sad that they demolished the classroom we built for the kids but it’s even worse that watoto walinyanganywa uniform na viatu…Are these people even human?” Eric expressed disappointment.
The classroom was demolished just a day after its completion.
