UDA Party will open a county office in Turkana as it continues to grow its presence in the grassroots.

After hosting a consultative meeting with a delegation of elected leaders from Turkana at the party’s headquarters, party Secretary General Sen. Hassan Omar okayed the decision to open an office in Lodwar to serve its members in the county.

The meeting was attended by National Treasurer Hon. Japheth Nyakundi and the delegation of MCAs led by Majority Leader Hon Stephen Edukon and Minority Leader
Hon Vincent Muft.

“We welcome everyone on board because we are keen to make Turkana County a UDA zone. If the SG allows me, then we will open an office in Lodwar to coordinate party activities in the county,” said Nyakundi.

The delegation brought on board MCA’s elected on UDA, ODM, Jubilee, and independents. They said they want to appreciate and support President William Ruto in 2027 for making high-profile state appointments of members from their community in the government.

Edukon and Mufti thanked President Ruto for appointing East Africa Community Cabinet Secretary Beatrice Askul, Shipping and Maritime Affairs Principal Secretary Geoffrey Kaituko and several ambassadors among other key state appointments.

“President William Ruto’s government has included both minority and marginalized communities, so we ought to support him. We will soon come to Lodwar to officially open an office and meet the people,” said SG Omar.
