Chris Losuru, a former Senior Officer of the Kenya Air Force, has expressed gratitude to his lawyer, Ekai Nabenyo, following a landmark court ruling that awarded him compensation for unfair military dismissal.
Losuru said the victory is not just personal but a reaffirmation of fairness and the rule of law. He opened up about the emotional toll of his dismissal, the stigma that came with it, and the difficulty he faced in pursuing new opportunities after his abrupt exit from service.
He praised lawyer Nabenyo for his courage, professionalism, and dedication, saying his efforts restored both his dignity and trust in Kenya’s justice system.
Losuru was recruited into the Kenya Defence Forces in 2010 as a General Service Officer Cadet. He successfully completed his training at the Kenya Military Academy, earned his Presidential Commission in 2012, and was later posted to the Kenya Air Force.

Shortly after, Losuru was recalled to Kenya and, without a hearing, explanation, or any disciplinary process, was summarily dismissed from the Air Force, abruptly ending what had been a promising career.
Determined to fight back, he filed case number ELRCPET/E001/2023: Christopher Losuru vs The Attorney General and the PS–Ministry of Defence. Represented by NABENYO & COMPANY ADVOCATES, he pursued justice for nearly three years.
This week, the Employment and Labour Relations Court (ELRC) in Kitale delivered a landmark ruling, declaring his termination unjust, discriminatory, and procedurally flawed. The court awarded him compensation, restoring his dignity after years of struggle.
His legal team hailed the judgment as a powerful reminder that justice, though delayed, is never denied.
“This decision not only restores Christopher’s dignity as a person but also sends a message that the ever-swinging sword of justice will eventually catch up with the powerful as it does with the powerless, however long it takes,” NABENYO & COMPANY ADVOCATES said in a statement.
For Losuru, the ruling is more than compensation, it is vindication after years of pain, and a chance to finally close a dark chapter in his life.
