Bombshell as Turkana South MP Ariko Namoit Rejects Gachagua-Linked Political Camp

Turkana South MP Ariko Namoit has declared that he will not support any political formation associated with former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, accusing the faction of promoting narratives that could marginalise minority communities, including the Turkana.

Speaking during the bursary launch in Katilu, Turkana South, Namoit claimed that leaders aligning themselves with Gachagua risk undermining the interests of Turkana County.

“Any politician associated with Rigathi Gachagua is an enemy of Turkana County. You can remember Gachagua saying, One Man, one vote one Shilling. What can you say about that statement. It means Gachagua is the enemy of Turkana people.” he said.

The ODM National Vice Chairperson referenced the controversial “one man, one shilling, one vote” remarks, arguing that such statements reflect a political direction he believes is unfavourable to the region.

“Any politician associated with Rigathi Gachagua is an enemy of Turkana County,” Namoit said, urging local leaders to carefully consider their political affiliations.

Namoit warned Turkana politicians seeking party tickets outside ODM or UDA that the decision would ultimately be their own responsibility, suggesting that shifting political alliances could have significant consequences.

He further urged the embattled former ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna to go back to the party, warning him not to be swayed by former president Uhuru Kenyatta and Rigathi Gachagua.
