Turkana County has launched its campaign at the 2025 KICOSCA Games in Siaya with impressive displays across several disciplines, signaling a determined push for top honours.
The delegation, featuring teams in men’s and women’s basketball, men’s pool and darts, arrived in high spirits, aiming to build on last year’s solid performances.
The men’s basketball team, defending their national title, opened their Pool A run with a hard-fought 46 to 42 victory against hosts Siaya County, maintaining their reputation as a dominant force. The women’s basketball team also made a statement, cruising past Embu with a commanding 45 to 6 win in their Pool D opener.
In other events, the men’s pool team, placed in Group B, is targeting an improvement from last year’s third place finish as they prepare to take on Kisii County. The darts team, competing in Pool D, is gearing up for a tough opening match against Murang’a.
With strong early results and rising confidence, Turkana County appears well positioned for another standout performance at this year’s KICOSCA Games.
