Turkana Woman Delivers Quadruplets, Appeals for Support After Husband Flees

Akatapan Eyanae from Lochwaangikamatak in Turkana County has given birth to quadruplets—all boys—at Lodwar County and Referral Hospital. However, upon receiving the news, her husband reportedly fled, leaving her to care for the newborns alone.

Akatapan, who was already a mother of six, now has a total of ten children to provide for, making her situation even more challenging.

Struggling to meet the growing needs of her family, she is appealing for support from well-wishers, organizations, and the government to help her raise the children and secure their future.
