Turkana Senator James Lomenen has emerged as one of Kenya’s most improved senators in the latest Infotrak Research and Consulting performance survey, recording a significant rise in both his national ranking and approval rating.
According to the survey, Lomenen made a significant leap in the national rankings, rising from 32nd position in 2024, where he had a 40% performance rating, to 17th position in 2026 with an improved 57% approval rating.
The improvement places him among the senators who registered the biggest gains compared to the previous Infotrak assessment.
Infotrak identified Lomenen alongside Uasin Gishu Senator Jackson Mandago, Marsabit Senator Mohamed Chute, and Bomet Senator Hillary Sigei as the country’s most improved senators.
The survey was conducted between January and May 2026, covering all 47 counties, 290 constituencies, and 1,450 wards, with an overall sample size of 87,286 respondents.
According to Infotrak, each county was treated as an independent survey universe and assigned a cluster sample of between 738 and 5,100 respondents, depending on its population and number of wards.
Lomenen’s improved ranking reflects a notable rise in public confidence in his performance and places him among the legislators who have recorded the strongest improvement in the latest national assessment.
