Fast rising TikTok star Fardosa has revealed she has no plans of returning to Kakuma in Turkana, despite having children still living there.

Speaking during an interview with a local TV station on Friday, August 22, 2025, Fardosa openly expressed her admiration for Nairobi’s lifestyle compared to Turkana, where she said resources are limited and life is much tougher.

The bubbly entertainer, known for her raw honesty and unfiltered humour, declared that her decision to remain in Nairobi is final.

Her loyal fans, who have been closely following her journey, already knew she had recently travelled to the capital for the first time—an adventure that excited many of her supporters.

In her candid remarks, Fardosa said Nairobi offers the kind of comfort she has always desired.

“Me sitarudi Kakuma, mimi nitakaa hapa Nairobi. Shangazi atakaa na watoto Kakuma. Hapa Nairobi nataka nikae kwa ajiri ya maziwa mara na nyama. Pale Kakuma town tunaona TV ya town pekee,” she said, sparking laughter and support from her online followers.

She further revealed that her trip to Nairobi had opened her eyes to a completely new world.

“Hii ni mara yangu ya kwanza kupanda gari. Numefurahia sana kukuja Nairobi. Nimeona vitu mingi lakini huku ni mbali sana, nimechoka!” she added, highlighting how new and overwhelming the experience has been for her.

Beyond lifestyle, Fardosa also tied her choice of settling in Nairobi to her health. She explained that some foods commonly available in Kakuma had caused her discomfort.

> “Sipendi ugali na kabichi, nikikula tumbo inauma. Daktari alisema nikule nyama na maziwa. Itanisaidia kuwa mnene,” she revealed, noting that Nairobi provides easier access to the foods she prefers.

Fardosa’s honesty and comedic tone have struck a chord with Kenyans online, making her one of the fastest-rising TikTok personalities this year.

Her fans continue to cheer her on, with many encouraging her to chase her dreams in the city.

As she embraces her new life in Nairobi, Fardosa’s story reflects how social media is transforming lives and amplifying voices from even the most unlikely corners of the country.
