Lake Zone Ward MCA aspirant Hon. Titus Lokeris Ekorinyang has expressed dissatisfaction with the recently concluded ODM primaries, terming the process as marred with irregularities and unfair practices.
In a statement seen by this publication dated 2, 2025, whose dates we could not independently verify, Ekorinyang thanked residents of Lake Zone for their overwhelming support during the nomination exercise but lamented that their democratic right had been denied for the second time.
He accused the party of failing to uphold the principles of natural justice, despite his attempts to seek redress through legal channels.
Ekorinyang urged his supporters to remain calm, peaceful, and patient, emphasizing that their struggle was not in vain. He promised to release a calendar of Baraza meetings to chart the community’s collective way forward.
“Leadership is not only about holding office—it is about service,” he affirmed, pledging to continue serving the people of Lake Zone faithfully even outside the political arena.
His statement comes barely hours after ODM party officially approved the nomination of ODM candidate Steven Lochilil, alias Obiro and issued him with certificate at Orange House to contest the Lake Zone MCA seat in the upcoming November by-elections.
Lochilil garnered 1,084 votes in the ODM primaries, defeating his opponent Titus Lokeris, who secured 492 votes.
