Kericho County Assembly Members have thrown their weight behind Governor Erick Mutai’s call to dissolve the county government but insist he must first be impeached.
Responding to the governor’s recent announcement that he would lead a signature collection drive to disband the county government, the MCAs said they are ready to join him in the exercise, but only after removing him from office through impeachment.
“We support the dissolution and we’ll even help you collect signatures, but we must impeach you first,” said one MCA during a press briefing at the County Assembly.
