Turkana Professionals Association Urges Government to Provide Update on Todonyang Massacre

The Turkana Professionals Association has called on the government to provide a comprehensive update on the Todonyang massacre, emphasizing the need for justice and accountability.
Speaking on behalf of the association, Chairman Jackson Nakusa expressed deep concern over the prolonged silence from authorities regarding the attack. He urged the government to expedite investigations and share findings with the public, ensuring that those responsible are held accountable.
Nakusa further demanded compensation for the victims and their families, stressing that the affected communities continue to suffer from the tragic incident. He noted that financial and psychosocial support is crucial in helping the victims rebuild their lives.
Additionally, he called for the government to involve the local community and other key stakeholders in finding a long-term solution to prevent such incidents in the future. He emphasized that sustainable peace and security in the region can only be achieved through inclusive dialogue and collaboration between the government, local leaders, and residents.
