Digital Lions, the world’s first Fair Trade-certified digital agency based in Turkana County, is offering a Graphic Designer Trainee position aimed at nurturing young talent. The traineeship provides hands-on experience in graphic design, with the possibility of transitioning into a long-term role.
The opportunity is available to candidates willing to work remotely or at the Startup Lions ICT Campus in Turkana County.
The mentorship program will last 3–6 months, during which trainees will receive a monthly stipend of KES 4,500 and earn 50% of project revenue while working under senior designers. The role requires full on-campus participation during the mentorship period.
Trainees will be responsible for designing web, social media, and print materials, contributing to branding projects, and ensuring design consistency.
Potential Candidates should have a strong portfolio, proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Adobe XD, and Figma, and a good understanding of branding, UI/UX principles, and digital design trends. Strong communication and teamwork skills are also essential.
