The embattled Christopher Nakuleu has officialy resigned as the turkana county assembly speaker.
in a letter dated 25th February 2025, Mr. Nakuleu stated that he resigned after careful consideration of his personal and professional objectives.
“I am writing to formally resign from my position as the speaker of the county assembly of Turkana effective today 25th February 2025″ the letter reads in parts.
It further reads,”It has been an honor to serve in this role and to the important work of the assembly. I have gained experiences and forged meaningful connections during my tenure. This decision comes after careful consideration of my personal and professional objectives.”
His resignation comes barely a few days after the Turkana county assembly approved an impeachment motion that was tabled by the Kalokol ward MCA Michael Ebenyo Epem.
