“The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has launched urgent efforts in collaboration with X to retrieve and secure the official account. Official updates will be shared through verified KRA communication channels. The agency urged Kenyans to ignore any messages or posts from the hacked X account until it is fully restored. It also advised users to rely on KRA’s verified platforms for accurate information and updates.
The incident comes amid a rise in cyberattacks targeting government and corporate social media accounts.
