The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has announced a massive nationwide recruitment drive, offering 21,313 job opportunities across various senior and mid-level teaching and administrative positions.
In a notice dated August 2025, TSC invited applications from suitably qualified teachers and Curriculum Support Officers in line with the Career Progression Guidelines for Teachers and Curriculum Support Officers.
The positions span from Chief Principal to Curriculum Support Officer II, covering both regular and Special Needs Education (SNE) categories, as well as Teacher Training Colleges (TTCs).
Vacancies include:
1. Chief Principal (Regular & TTC) – 105 posts
2. Senior Principal (Regular & TTC) – 20 posts
3. Principal (Regular & SNE) – 682 posts
4. Deputy Principal II (Regular, TTC & SNE) – 40 posts
5. Senior Lecturer I & II (TTC) – 66 posts
6. Senior Master III & IV (Regular & SNE) – 936 posts
7. Deputy Headteacher II (Regular & SNE) – 3,566 posts
8. Senior Headteacher (Regular & SNE) – 1,414 posts
9. Headteacher (Regular) – 1,872 posts
10. Secondary Teacher I (Diploma, Regular & SNE) – 4,237 posts
11. Senior Teacher I & II (Regular & SNE) – 8,115 posts
12. Curriculum Support Officer I & II (Regular & SNE) – 41 posts
According to TSC, successful candidates will be posted to schools where vacancies are available.
The Commission emphasized that only online applications submitted via the official TSC portal — www.teachersonline.go.ke — will be accepted. Manual applications will not be considered.
Deadline
The application deadline is set for Monday, 25th August 2025, at midnight.
TSC, established under Article 237(1) of the Constitution, is a constitutional commission mandated to register, employ, and manage teachers in Kenya. In its notice, the Commission reaffirmed its commitment to being an equal opportunity employer, encouraging persons with disabilities to apply.
