“You’re an Idler With No Job” – Ruto Blasts Gachagua Over NYOTA Claims

Share This:

President William Ruto has launched a fierce attack on former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua following allegations that the NYOTA Programme, a World Bank-funded youth initiative, has been politicised.

Mr. Gachagua recently accused the President of turning the programme into a campaign tool and misusing funds meant for youth empowerment.

In a sharp rebuttal during a public address in Garissa, PresidentRuto dismissed the claims and fired back:

“You’re an idler with no job, and you have the audacity to lecture me?” he said

While Gachagua has raised concerns over its implementation, Ruto defended the initiative as a key pillar of his administration’s agenda to tackle unemployment and support vulnerable youth.
