A medical report presented in court by Nimrod Lomorukai, the son of Turkana Governor Jeremiah Lomorukai, has raised questions about the severity of injuries he claims to have sustained during an alleged assault in Lodwar.
Testifying before Eldoret Principal Magistrate Kesses Cherono, Nimrod, who is represented by lawyer Richard Warigi, claimed he was attacked on April 29, 2024, at Cherina’s Hotel by a group of individuals said to be supporters of his father’s political rivals.
However, the medical report submitted as evidence contradicted his testimony. The report indicated that Nimrod had no bloodstains on his clothes or visible injuries—despite earlier claims that he had been severely beaten and treated at Lodwar County Referral Hospital.
This development comes as Turkana South MP John Namoti Ariko and seven others face charges of assault and conspiracy to defeat justice in connection with the alleged incident.
The court has adjourned the case to October 24, 2025, for further hearing.
