With just seven days left before residents of Lakezone Ward head to the polls, campaign activities have reached their peak as leaders rally behind their preferred candidates.

Governor Jeremiah Lomorukai is leading campaigns for John Namesek Erot, the UDA party candidate, urging voters to support his agenda and promising strengthened development efforts within the ward.

Meanwhile, Turkana North MP Paul Ekuwom Nabuin has intensified grassroots mobilisation for Stephen Ekiru Lochilil, popularly known as Obiro, who is vying on the ODM party ticket. The MP describes him as a dedicated leader ready to champion community interests.

Former Speaker Hon. Christopher Doye Nakuleu is also on the campaign trail, backing UDM candidate John Meyan Imanamanangor, praising his leadership qualities and commitment to unity.

As the by-election draws closer, the ward is experiencing vibrant, peaceful, and issues-focused campaigns as candidates make their final push to win over undecided voters. The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) will oversee the poll next week.
