In a blistering address to Kenyans living in the United States, former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua launched a scathing attack on President William Ruto and Interior CS Kipchumba Murkomen, accusing them of presiding over a regime marked by fear, repression, and extrajudicial killings.
Speaking at a diaspora town hall event in United States, Gachagua did not mince his words, claiming that the President Ruto-led administration has turned its back on democracy and is instead governing through intimidation and brutality.
“This is no longer the government we formed. It has become a regime of fear. A regime of repression. A regime where extrajudicial killings are back and unchecked,” Gachagua said
He further alleged that dissenting voices in Kenya were being silenced and that political opponents were being targeted using state machinery.
“These are not the ideals we fought for. Kenyans must rise and demand accountability. We cannot let the dark days return,” he added.
