Boda Boda Rider Shot Dead by Suspected Pokot Bandits At Nakwamoru, Turkana South in Fresh Attack

A bodaboda rider has been shot dead by suspected bandits believed to be from West Pokot County in Nakwamoru village, Kaptir Ward, Turkana South Sub-County.
According to local residents, the attackers ambushed the rider on Sunday evenin, killing him on the spot.The incident has reignited fears among residents who say insecurity in the area continues to worsen despite repeated government assurances.
The body of the deceased has been taken to Katilu sub county hospital
The latest killing comes barely a week after the Turkana County government, led by Governor Jeremiah Lomorukai, strongly condemned the ongoing wave of attacks and urged the national security agencies to act decisively to end the bloodshed.
Local leaders have decried what they term as laxity among security officers, accusing them of failing to respond swiftly to protect civilians from cross-border raids.
Residents of Nakwamoru and neighboring villages are now appealing for immediate government intervention, saying the continued attacks have disrupted normal life and instilled fear in the community.
