Turkana County Announces Ward Education Bursary Program Phase I for FY 2025/2026 | How To Apply | Deadline

The County Government of Turkana has officially announced the commencement of Phase I of the Ward Education Bursary Program for the Financial Year 2025/2026.

The public notice, issued by the Department of Education, Sports and Social Protection, invites eligible students to apply for financial support under the county’s education fund.

According to the notice dated 26th February 2026, the bursary program is being administered through the Turkana County Education Fund Management Board.

The initiative targets students in universities, colleges, secondary schools, special schools, tertiary institutions, and vocational training centers across all wards in the county.

How to Access Application Forms
Bursary application forms can be downloaded from the official Turkana County website at www.turkana.go.ke⁠ or obtained directly from the Ward Administrator’s office.

Students are encouraged to secure the forms as soon as possible to avoid last-minute rush.

Those currently in school are advised to contact their parents, guardians, or relatives at home to assist with the application process.

Family members can help fill out the forms, attach the required supporting documents, and ensure submission at the relevant ward offices.

Submission Requirements and Deadline
1. Applicants must ensure that all forms are duly completed and accompanied by the necessary attachments.
2. Each application must clearly indicate:
—The official name of the institution
—Bank account number
—Bank branch
—Institution email address
—Institution contact details

Completed application forms must be signed, sealed, dated, and submitted to the Ward Administrator’s office. The deadline for submission is 12th March 2026 at 5:00 p.m.

The Ward Bursary Committee will review and consider all applications within fourteen (14) days after the closure of the submission period.

Important Notes for Applicants
The notice cautions that any applicant who submits false or misleading information will face automatic disqualification.

Additionally, multiple applications are not encouraged and may also lead to disqualification.

Applicants are further required to declare any other bursary support they may be currently receiving.
