KUCCUPS Lists Courses And Entry Grades For KMTC, TVET March-May Intake

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has opened its portal for applications to Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions.

The portal, which became accessible on Friday, January 24, allows 2024 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) candidates to apply for various Diploma and Certificate programs for the March 2025 intake.

“Applications for KMTC (March intake) and TVET (May intake) are now open via the KUCCPS portal. Deadline: February 14, 2025,” KUCCPS announced.

For Diploma programs, candidates must have attained a minimum KCSE grade of C (Plain). Among the available Diploma courses at KMTC are:

  • Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery
  • Diploma in Emergency Medical Technology
  • Diploma in Health Counselling
  • Diploma in Health Insurance Management
  • Diploma in Kenya Registered Nursing
  • Diploma in Kenya Registered Nursing and Midwifery
  • Diploma in Kenya Registered Nursing (Mental Health and Psychiatry)
  • Diploma in Medical Engineering
  • Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences
  • Diploma in Medical Social Work
  • Diploma in Mortuary Science

KUCCPS highlighted that the Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics requires a minimum grade of C-. Other available Diploma programs include:

  • Diploma in Orthopaedic Technology
  • Diploma in Orthopaedic and Trauma Medicine
  • Diploma in Pharmacy
  • Diploma in Physiotherapy
  • Diploma in Public Health
  • Diploma in Radiography and Imaging
  • Diploma in Speech and Language Therapy

Additionally, KUCCPS has advertised various Certificate programs for candidates who obtained a minimum grade of D+.

For certain Certificate courses, such as Community Health Assistance, Health Records and Information Technology, Kenya Enrolled Community Health Nursing, Medical Emergency Technician, Public Health, and Orthopaedic Trauma Medicine, the minimum entry requirement is a C- grade.

Meanwhile, a D+ grade is required for applicants interested in the Certificate in Nutrition and Dietetics and Certificate in Medical Engineering.
