Lotiir E. Henry, a resident of Turkana and an advocate of the High Court of Kenya, has strongly condemned those responsible for demolishing the classroom built by comedian and philanthropist Eric Omondi for children in Kapoo, Turkana South.
Lotiir pointed fingers at Turkana leaders, accusing them of destroying a classroom that was constructed to benefit the underprivileged children in the region, while they continue to send their own children to the most expensive schools.
“Those Turkana leaders (or misleaders) who destroyed that classroom built by Eric Omondi, you should be ashamed of yourselves. You send your children to the best schools, yet you have no problem demolishing a much-needed classroom for brilliant, but poor children in Turkana. Your justification? Eric Omondi didn’t follow the right protocol.”he wrote.
“You’re failing in every aspect of leadership. If you can’t support the future of our children, then shape up or ship out!” he added further.
Lotiir’s remarks come in the wake of the destruction of a project intended to uplift the educational standards in the region and provide better learning opportunities for the children of Turkana South.
