While outside the DCI’s main gate, the police officer had told the former prime minister that he will not be allowed in.

“I have strict instructions that you are not allowed in. None of you is allowed in,” one of the police officers said

The Police statement prompted Mr. Odinga to lose cool and, threatened to mobilize his supporters to forge a forceful entry.

“This is a public office. And I have a right to go in. Do you want me to order these people to go into DCI headquarters by force? If they want problems, they will get problems,” Raila said

As this was published, this writer established that Raila Odinga left the DCI headquarters perhaps his supporters starting to mill in.

Later, Matiang’i was released from the DCI headquarters after 8 hours of grilling.

Dr. Matiang’i will face charges on publication of false information and conspiracy to commit a felony.
