The Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) has officially begun issuing admission letters to students selected for the March 2025 intake.

According to KMTC CEO Dr. Kelly Oluoch, a total of 14,338 admission letters have been released for pre-service courses.

“These are applicants who applied through the KUCCPS portal, and we are issuing letters based on the official list received from KUCCPS over the weekend,” he stated.

“We are issuing the letters based on the official list of successful applicants received from KUCCPS over the weekend,” he added.

These letters have been sent to applicants who applied through the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) portal.

In addition to pre-service courses,Dr. Oluoch further noted that the College has also started issuing admission letters to students who applied for upgrading courses, including diploma, higher diploma, and certificate programs.

Dr. Oluoch confirmed that all successful applicants have received text notifications with instructions on how to download their admission letters from the KMTC portal. He emphasized that no payments are required to access the letters.

The reporting date for newly admitted students has been set for March 18, 2025.

Dr. Oluoch cautioned applicants against falling victim to fraudsters who claim they can assist in acquiring admission letters. He urged students to follow official communication from KMTC and KUCCPS to avoid being scammed.

“All successful applicants have received a text notification with instructions on how to download their letters from the KMTC portal and no one is required to pay anything to access admission letter,” he said.

For the March 2025 intake, KUCCPS has outlined specific courses and entry requirements for KMTC. Diploma programs generally require a minimum KCSE grade of C (Plain), with available courses such as Clinical Medicine and Surgery, Emergency Medical Technology, and Kenya Registered Nursing. However, some programs, like the Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics, require a minimum grade of C-.

Certificate programs are accessible to candidates with at least a D+ grade, while certain courses, such as Community Health Assistance and Health Records and Information Technology, require a C- grade. Prospective students are advised to carefully review the entry requirements for their desired programs to ensure eligibility.
