At least 14 people have been arrested in Uasin Gishu for allegedly participating in throwing stones at Raila Odinga’s chopper.

While confirming the arrest, Uasin Gishu county commissioner Mr. Stephen Kihara, said the suspects will help in probing to Friday’s ordeal.
“We have moved around through the night and we were able to arrest 14 youth who participated in throwing stones yesterday,” he said.
With the help of the nabbed suspects, Kihara expressed confidence that the police will single out the organisers of the attack, which he labelled as regrettable and isolated.

However, Kihara said further search is ongoing to find those Political elites that likely colluded with nabbed youths to achieve the incident.
Kihara added, those involved will face full wrath of law.

“We’re conducting subsequent investigations and we will nab the person who likely organized the incident. Regardless of who was involved, he or she will face the law and this will be a lesson for persons preaching politically instigated violence,” he added.
On Friday, Raila Odinga and co were pelted with stones in Uasin Gishu after he attended the burial ceremony of businessman Mzee Jackson Kibor.
In a statement, Raila Odinga blamed DP Ruto’s allies; Soi MP Caleb Kostiay and Gov. Jackson Mandago for allegedly having hand behind his woes.
As this was published, William Ruto condemned the ordeal, apologized to Raila and warning those found in connection to throwing stones at Raila’s chopper will be barred from contesting through UDA Party or Kenya Kwanza associated partys.
